White Light
Englewood, Southside Chicago has worse gun violence statistics than any active war zone of the last two decades. Interviewing friends and family, George Gittoes documents the victims, such as 25-year 'Prince of the Streets' Solja and his close friend up-and-coming model Kaylyn, and their neighbourhood. In doing so, he explores why these civilian deaths are happening and highlights the ways the community is working to bring peace and end the cycle of revenge and retaliation.
