Film Synopsis
The Secret Life of Pets 2 (PG)
The Secret Life of Pets 2 will follow summer 2016’s blockbuster about the lives our pets lead after we leave for work or school each day. Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and his longtime collaborator Janet Healy will produce the sequel to the comedy that had the best opening ever for an original film, animated or otherwise.
André Rieu’s 2019 Maastricht Concert - Shall We Dance? (E)
André Rieu’s annual hometown Maastricht concerts attract fans from all corners of the globe. The medieval town square is transformed into a spectacular backdrop for unforgettable concerts filled with humour, fun and emotion for all ages – and, of course, magnificent music. This year’s theme is a dedication to the waltz.
Late Night (M)
A late-night talk show host suspects that she may soon be losing her long-running show.
The Keeper (M)
Based on an incredible true story, THE KEEPER follows Bert Trautmann (David Kross, The Reader), a German prisoner of war sent to Northern England at the end of WWII, who went on to become an English Football legend. While imprisoned at the POW camp he meets Margaret (Freya Mavor, The Sense of an Ending) and her father Jack (John Henshaw, Stan & Ollie, Downton Abbey), the manager of the local football team. Impressed by Bert's exceptional talent as a goal-keeper, Jack recruits Bert to play for the local team. Despite hostility on and off the field, a love slowly blossoms between Margaret and Bert. To the outrage of Man City fans, many of whom are Jewish, Bert is signed by the club as their new star keeper. Bert’s difficult path to acceptance takes an incredible turn when he wins over thousands of supporters by taking the club to victory in the 1956 FA Cup Final and playing on despite breaking his neck. The Keeper is an extraordinary love story between a young English woman and a German PoW, who together overcome prejudice, outrage and tragedy.
