“This is a tale of an uptight Danish psychiatrist Adrian Gabrielsen who is sent to Indonesia to assess the mental condition of a man who claims to be 129 year old, Severin Geertsen who killed a British documentary crew in Sumatra. The Indonesians plan to execute him, or do they? Severin claims to have survived so long because of an exotic tropical flower which he affectionately calls Hedwig.
