Indonesian action film centred on the police raid of an apartment block, home to the deadliest gangsters and drug lords in Jakarta's criminal underworld. Choreographed by lead actor Iko Uwais (Merantau), The Raid merges traditional martial arts with chaotic gunfights. What starts as a tactical, stealthy raid on a criminal safe house soon turns into a fight for survival as the SWAT team’s cover is blown. When word gets out, all exits are blocked, trapping the law enforcers inside the building. The remaining soldiers are forced to fight through the entire criminal army they’re caged with. The film features music by Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda and composer Joseph Trapanese (Tron: Legacy). This is director Gareth Evans and Uwais' second collaboration after Merantau.
