‘Sarbjit’ tells the emotional true story of Sarabjit Singh (Randeep Hooda), a Punjabi farmer living near the Indo-Pakistan border who mistakenly crossed the border one night on his way home. He was caught and accused of espionage, spending 23 years incarcerated in a 4ft by 5ft cell. While Sarabjit struggled daily to retain his sanity and survive, outside the walls of his prison his sister, Dalbir, (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) refused to accept the charges.
