Two chocolate makers find the perfect recipe for love in this moving comedy that has wowed French audiences. Jean-René (Benoît Poelvoorde) is the owner of a chocolate factory. Angélique (Isabelle Carré) is a talented chocolate maker who wants to remain anonymous. As fate would have it, Jean-René employs her to sell his factory’s chocolates. They are both emotionally-challenged people – too shy to talk to others, make encounters, or anything beyond that. But both of them, desperately suffering from this illness, are willing to cure themselves.
Drawn together through a shared passion for chocolate, Jean-René and Angélique fall in love, but their crippling shyness is driving them apart, leading to hilarious and unexpected situations. Eventually, they manage to overcome their lack of self-confidence, and risk baring their true emotions.
This comedy takes us into the world of chocolate, emotions, laughs and love.
